#12 - Those Three Magic Words
Greta
woke up from a late afternoon nap. It was one of those
early September days on the Vineyard when you could
already feel the slight chill of autumn in the air.
Greta tied her silk bathrobe around her waist and tiptoed
out onto the deck. Guy was there, staring out at the
ocean. His hair was slicked back and still damp from
their afternoon swim. Greta practically ached at the
sight of the little droplets of salt water clinging
to the nape of his neck. They had been kissing that
afternoon at the beach, and practically all morning,
and the night before.
She
even wanted to kiss him now, but then she thought perhaps
he needed some space. The last few days had been so
magical and now suddenly, she wondered what would happen
to their romance once they returned to New York. Suppose
she was just another fling!
"Guy," she
whispered.
He turned around. "Greta,
you're up!"
"Yes, thanks
for letting me rest. I guess the salt air just takes
it out of me." she sighed.
"Yeah, and
all our fun in the sun!" Guy said, smiling and standing up. "Hey, you want drinks? I'm about to make Mojitos. With fresh mint from the herb
garden."
"Yes,
that sounds lovely," Greta said.
Guy left for the kitchen
and Greta put on her sunglasses and stared out at the
blue-blue water. She couldn't believe what a perfect
Labor Day weekend this had turned out to be. They had the Thompson Compound on the Vineyard all
to themselves. And with all this time out in the sun
and surf, Greta was glad she had begun her new GreatSkin
regime to repair and heal environmental skin damage.
That morning, Greta had begun the day with GreatSkin's AHA/BHA Cleanser. It had natural acids that loosened dead skin cells and accelerated the renewal
of fresh healthy skin. She simply applied it to her
face and neck in a circular motion and then rinsed
with tepid water. Greta followed this with GreatSkin's Vitamin C Toner, inhaling the sun-filled fragrance of lemon and grapefruit. Next, she gently
massaged GreatSkin's Omega Peel--a revolutionary exfoliator--onto her face and within 90 seconds Greta could
feel the impurities disappear. Greta looked in the
mirror. Her complexion was already glowing from the
vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants. Greta then applied
a touch of both GreatSkin's Vitamin C + 25% Serum and All-In-One Cream. She finished off with a tiny dab of GreatSkin's fine line reducing BTX Double Action Gel around her forehead and eyes. This is better than being twenty again, Greta
thought.
Guy returned with the
drinks. Greta smiled, thinking while she couldn't protect her heart from environmental damage, she could at least
protect her beautiful skin.
Guy clinked his glass
against Greta's. "Here's to" - he hesitated, "A Great Gal!"
"And here's
to a Great Guy," Greta said quietly.
And then Guy looked at
her soulfully, leaned forward and kissed her lightly.
"Greta," he
whispered. "There's something I want you to know... I love you."
