#17 - Hollywood Bad Boy, Zane Craven, Returns
Greta
settled into a space at the outdoor bar and gazed at
the aquamarine water of the Caribbean. Here she was
in one of the most romantic place in the world and
she was alone. She felt a little tear come to her eyes
when she thought about it, but then she held it back
thinking she should be angry. There she had been--just two days ago, waiting at LaGuardia airport for Guy to arrive when she received
an unexpected cell phone call from Guy's snippy assistant,
saying there had been a budgetary emergency at Face
Magazine and Guy insisted she fly out without him.
Greta wondered if there
was even really a budgetary emergency or was Guy "just not that into her." She was wearing the most fabulous little sundress and Audrey Hepburn sunglasses.
And her skin--it was the softest it had ever been,
thanks to GreatSkin's body care products. For the past
two weeks, she had been bathing with GreatSkin's Orange Sorbet Bath Gelee. It had a deliciously orange-citrus scent and did wonders to soften her delicate skin. She followed this with GreatSkin's Sea Salt Papaya Body Buff. It was a favorite of Greta's, because it was made from an exclusive blend of
natural sea salt and deep cleansing Papaya fruit extracts,
which buffed away dead skin cells and left her skin
with a smoother, more refined texture. Wonderful for
days spent in nothing but her new bikini. After gently
blotting her skin with a towel, Greta applied GreatSkin Body Butter, with enriched Shea Butter and antioxidants. It not only hydrated her skin,
but also helped it retain moisture and suppleness.
Greta was always proud of her beautiful hands, and so she never forgot to apply GreatSkin's Moisture Mitts which created a resistant "glove" of protection and relieved dryness, chapping and brittle nails. And finally,
GreatSkin's Peppermint Foot Therapy was the perfect thing to use after a day on the beach. It soothed, cooled and
refreshed.
Yes, Greta thought--her
skin is silky smooth and Guy isn't here to appreciate
it. She felt a wave of disappointment, when suddenly, she heard a familiar man's voice. "You look thirsty," he said. "So I thought you could use one of these."
Greta turned around quickly
to find Zane Craven, the movie star. He handed her
a big fruity tropical drink and clinked his glass against
her. "Looks like I found you unchaperoned, Greta." He smiled at her. "Where is the face behind Face Magazine, anyway"?
"New York," Greta
said weakly. "There's a budget crisis."
"Ah,
I see," Zane laughed slightly, "the old budget crisis." He moved in just a tad closer to Greta. "Well, his loss is my gain." He slyly brushed his hand against Greta's and then looked deeply into her eyes. "You have amazing soft skin, you know that, Greta?"
"Yes, actually,
I do," she replied. Greta took a sip of her drink and she felt herself a little charmed
by Zane. He wasn't so bad, after all, she thought.
Maybe he was a little too Hollywood, but now he seemed genuinely interested in her.
Zane took Greta's hand.
She felt a little shiver go up her spine, and then
Zane leaned in and softly kissed her.
And in the meantime, it
was snowing in New York City and Guy was in the fight
of his life to save Face Magazine.
